Melrob to represent LCP Technology

Melrob are pleased to announce that with effect from 1st August 2008, we will be the official distributor for the UK and Ireland for the HELICONE ® range of liquid crystal effect pigments from LCP Technology GmbH, Burghausen, Germany.
HELICONE ® pigments are advanced, innovative effect pigments. They take the form of platelets of a highly cross-linked liquid crystalline organic polymer, whose reflected colour continually changes with viewing angle. Applications are found in many applications such as coatings, inks, cosmetics and plastics.

Melrob appointed distributor for Taizhu

Melrob appointed as the official UK and Ireland distributor for Taizhu Group Ltd.
We are pleased to announce our appointment as the official UK and Ireland distributor for Taizhu Group Ltd, with effect from 1st June 2008, for their pearlescent effect pigments into industrial markets.
Taizhu, a global leader in effect pigments, were the first producer in China in 1988 and are now the largest producer there. Headquartered in Wenzhou, they have six operating groups in China, including a state-of-the-art production, research and application facility in Suzhou.
Melrob have highly experienced staff with these products and their expertise and knowledge, combined with a truly innovative and high quality effect pigment producer such as Taizhu, is expected to bring many interesting new opportunities to the industrial customer base in the UK and Ireland.

Melrob to respresent NTT Group in UK & Ireland

With effect from 1st May 2008, Melrob has been appointed as the official distributor in the UK and Ireland for the NTT Group.
We are pleased to announce our appointment, with effect from 1st May 2008, as the official distributor in the UK and Ireland for the NTT Group.
NTT are a new manufacturer of carbon fibre, utilising patented environmentally friendly technology. Their KORE™ carbon fibre tow and fabrics are made using only a fraction of the energy normally required to manufacture carbon fibre and hence have a very small carbon “footprint.” Melrob will also be offering KOREOX™ fire resistant fibre and BLUE STEEL™ C/C and C/Si specialty monoliths.
Steve Tuffley, our Composites Business Manager comments, as follows: “We are delighted to be partnering a new force in the composites industry with such ground breaking technology. The whole industry will benefit from a new source of carbon fibre in a market where demand outstrips supply. Melrob expands into Personal Care
Impact Colors Inc, possibly the most important new supplier of effect pigments to the personal care market in many years, has confirmed Melrob Services Ltd as their distributor, covering many European territories, including the UK and Ireland.
The Impact Colors effect pigment range is augmented by the HELICONE ® liquid crystal effect pigments from LCP Technologies GmbH, which Melrob have been appointed to market into the cosmetics sector in the UK and Ireland.
The Melrob product offering to the colour cosmetics sector is further enhanced due to their recent appointment by world leader Holliday Pigments Ltd, as the exclusive distributor of ultramarine blue and manganese violet pigments into the UK and Ireland.

Holliday Pigments announce Melrob as their exclusive distributor for Ultramarine blue in UK and Ireland
Melrob are delighted to announce their appointment as the exclusive distributor in the UK and Ireland by Holliday Pigments Ltd, for their range of ultramarine blue and manganese violet pigments. Holliday Pigments are the world leader for these types of products.
LCP Technologies GmbH have also appointed Melrob to market their Helicone ® range of liquid crystal effect pigments. These specialty products add to Melrob’s fast growing offering for the coatings and plastics fields.

REACH legislation; Melrob statement
REACH, Regulation 1907/2006/EC In Europe, on December 18th 2006 the European Parliament and European Council formally adopted Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals, otherwise known as REACH. Melrob Services is actively engaged in complying with REACH, which came into force on June 1st 2007 and is working with the chemical producers and suppliers that we represent in order to achieve this.
