Marcus Oil & Chemical, a division of H.R.D. Corporation, produces linear, low molecular weight polyethylene waxes, with high melt points.
The Marcus polyethylenes are all derived from high density polyethylene (HDPE) under specific and stringently controlled conditions. This produces a series of very linear and crystalline products with melting points in the range 90ºC to 116ºC.
A unique feature of the range is that for polyethylenes with molecular weights of the order of 1000-1200, they possess very low melt viscosities in the range <10 to <60 mPa's at 149ºC. Additionally they have very narrow molecular weight distributions demonstrated by their excellent compatibility.
Product is available in a variety of packaging styles inclusive pastille, powder, micronised and flake form.
