Hot Melt Adhesive
The wax is primarily employed in fast packaging and bookbinding applications.
The Marcus grades 200, 300, 500 and 4040 exhibit:
Low Molecular weight (Mn ≤ 1100)
High crystallinity (approx. 70-75%)
Narrow distribution(Mw/Mn = 1.2 – 1.5)
Low melt viscosity (10-60 mPas @ 149ºC)
These features and their good compatibility attribute:
Reduction in blend viscosity
Shortening of setting time
Improved wettability
Improved heat resistance
Diminished blocking tendency
